I've been waiting to update my torque tube thread until I can get a little it of driving in to see how it's working out. I've got some pretty serious backlash issues, keeping me from driving the car aggressively I've been able to find NOS "side gears" I believe these are the large gears that are held on the axle shafts with clips. I can't seem to find the pinion spider gears.Does anybody have any part numbers or information that could help.
I know there's at least one guy running cryo treated gears, behind his turbo engine making 212 RWHP @17 psi, in the coolest four door Chevette in North America.
Hopefully there's still a set of gears out there, I'd hate to do an axle swap because of parts availability availability.

I'm looking to pick up a parts car in the next few weeks, if a used set will do you I'll keep you in mind.

Hey, no worries, I found some good used ones, today in fact... They're installed in the 78 I just bought.
