My name is Kevin
I have a 1986 Chevette 2door and I am about to embark on a "frame off" style resto/mod. My plan is to completely redo the suspension and drive line of the Chevette. I trust that no one has done this... it will have the same wheel base but will be sporting a wider track.
I have spent the last 4 years accumulating all necessary parts and acquiring pertinent information (stage 1)... now that that is completed ...
Stage 2... strip the car down to just a shell
Stage 3... using a rotisserie soda blast the entire car as well as all suspension and drive line parts
Stage 4... preform all necessary repairs and modifications to the shell to accommodate the chosen suspension/drive line
Stage 5... coat all bare metal with POR 15
Each stage will be accompanied by many progress pics starting with 'set up' pics, coming soon.
