Wazup my Vette brothers and sisters? haha Well I figured I should go ahead and move over here as well from Facebook and post up!
Well here is my 79 Vette 350sbc, th350 w/3k stall, back halfed, narrowed 9'' w/ 4.11 gears. Full cage, lots of weight reduction and more to come. This car set for over 2 yrs till I rescued it from a barn in NW Ohio. The guy who had it bought it and his wife raced it for 4-5 yrs. The car was non-running when purchased being "fuel pump". Once got it home discovered a lot of the wires was a mess and tangled to a cluster %^&$. So put new pump on and ran a wire. Added some new gas and fired right up.
Plans are to fix what I can fairly fast and get it running and driving on the road safely till winter hits. I have already begun to fix wiring, remove stickers and get it under primer. Once it is put up for winter then I will begin the updated version of the "Vile Vette".
To do list:
All aluminum 6.0l ls engine with cam and springs and arp bolts and 80lb injectors.
78mm turbo with intercooler
Yank 3500 stall
gear change from 4.11 to 3.25
Coil overs
Bigger and wider wheels and tires on the rear
Lower the car
Aluminum rear drag wing
All new gauges
Bigger fuel cell
Bigger fuel lines
Bigger fuel pumps
Bigger brakes
Add carpet thru ought the car
Retint windows
Replace rear window to lexan
Change front end to a 83+ front end
Later down the road add a vintage air unit and stereo.
On to pics!
